After much preparation {on my part} and patience {on Gray's part}, our family hosted Thanksgiving for the first time. We were delighted to have Gray's Grandma Sandee and Grandpa Gary, Great-Grandpa Gray (Gray's namesake), Uncle Drew, Aunt Randi and Cousin Kael here to celebrate.
There was much to be done to make sure everything was perfect, like:
-Sew a table runner and cloth napkins
-Decide on table decor
-Finalize the menu (Smoked turkey, apple-pecan dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls and yellow cake with chocolate icing for dessert)
-Determine how to serve the food
-Grocery shopping
-Food preparation (everything was homemade from scratch, except for the smoked turkey and cranberry sauce)
Everything turned out great, if I do say so myself and celebrating my sweet, baby girl's first Thanksgiving was just icing on the cake!
