7 months is oh so sweet!

I cannot wait for Gray to wake up each and every day to see what she will do next. I am amazed at how much she is growing, in every sense of the word. That said, I do appreciate when Gray naps - it gives me time to get things done around the house {like sit} instead of chasing around my busy girl. What I love about my sweet Gray at 7 months:

-She likes to wave. I love this because it shows how much she is picking up and learning. She is so observant and constantly absorbing everything that is happening around her. You might say she is curious, but I think she is just plain nosey!

-She loves the dogs. Whether it is Mia swooping in to check on her, Bubba grazing beside her or one of my parent dogs sniffing the visitor, she thinks they are pretty wonderful. She smiles at them all of the time and they even elicit some giggles from her if they are doing something a little different from the norm.

-She has 4 teeth as of today and when she smiles she is beginning to look so different. I love this because, if course, it is adorable, but it also makes me sad that she is growing up so quickly.

-I love that she is ticklish. Her thighs, neck and ribs are all good spots to get her giggling. She chuckles so vigorously and it cracks us up.

-I love that she "crawls" to wherever we are. I like to think that this is her way of saying that she likes our company.

-Everything is more fun with her around. Whether it is celebrating Thanksgiving, grocery shopping or laundry, she makes life more exciting/complicated!

-I love her sweet little voice. She makes the cutest sounds when she sleeps, when she is talking to us or even when she is playing with her toys. I love listening to her.

-I am so excited to celebrate Gray's first Christmas in a few weeks. It is loads of fun deciding what to buy her and styling her for all of the festivities. But most of all, I love spending time with her and establishing new family traditions.

-I love creeping up to her. When I walk up to her slowly saying "I'm going to get you," she gets the biggest grin on her face and starts to giggle. I love that she gets it!

-I love our morning tim together. When she wakes up, I get her from her crib and bring her back to our room to feed her. Then she just lays in bed between us and talks to us and smiles at us, pats our faces with her hands and hangs out. It is such a great way to start the day!

LOVE this baby! She is our precious gift and we try everyday to be worthy of her!

After much preparation {on my part} and patience {on Gray's part}, our family hosted Thanksgiving for the first time. We were delighted to have Gray's Grandma Sandee and Grandpa Gary, Great-Grandpa Gray (Gray's namesake), Uncle Drew, Aunt Randi and Cousin Kael here to celebrate.

Gray's Dedication

>> Saturday, November 20, 2010

On November 13, we were able to dedicate Gray at our church. During a child dedication, the parents devote their child to God and vow to raise their child to love him. We were so glad to have family and friends present to celebrate this special occasion. Thank you to all that were able to make it and to those that were there in spirit - it meant so much to us!

Just Because...

I have been a bit lax in the blogging department as of late ~ Blame it on the holiday planning, decorating, entertaining, sewing, crocheting... but whatever it may be, I miss it. So just because I can and want to, I am going to post some pictures of my sweetie that I have taken and not yet shared with you. Here they are with the promise that I will try divide my time more evenly amongst all of my creative outlets!
